Katrina's Healing Journey

It is almost hard to believe today, but almost 20 years ago, I was living inside a sick , tired and overweight body.

I suffered with severe asthma, eczema, hypothyroidism and chronic fatigue syndrome.

And then one day, whilst attending an overseas University conference, I had a complete body breakdown.

My doctors wanted to put me on experimental medication.

But something within me said "No - there has to be another way!"

That was the start of my healing journey...

I soon found my own healing guide and went on to heal my body and my life without drugs, diets or deprivation.

I lost over 60 pounds naturally, gained energy and healed my body of all my chronic ailments....

And I want to share what I discovered with you too!

After years of taking prescribed drugs and steroids, I wondered:

1. What was the root cause of my health challenges?

2. Was I ever going to be healthy, without prescription medication?

Incredibly I was given the chance to find out! One day my body completely stopped. I had no energy. In fact I couldn't do anything. I was bed-ridden and quite literally couldn't get out of bed.

My Doctors undertook urgent and extensive tests but couldn't diagnose the problem. They did however offer me experimental medication. I was at a cross roads. I knew I had a decision to make.

Should I follow my Doctors' recommendation and go down the traditional path of western medicine? Since they didn't know the problem, I wondered how they could treat it?

Or should I trust my own body? And was it possible my body was really trying to communicate a message to me?

And could I trust myself to listen to my body's inner wisdom and healing potential? Against my Doctors best wishes, I choose the latter.

I decided to ditch all things confusing. This included food and food labels I couldn't pronounce, medication, medical research, scientific evidence, media recommendations, diets, calorie counting, portion control, doing exercise I hated and fat-free/low-fat/no-fat rules I had been trying to follow unsuccessfully for years to lose weight.

And I threw away my scales. I substituted unhealthy, processed toxic foods for healthy healing foods that my body could recognise and assimilate.

I embraced holistic health and natural whole foods. I embraced simplicity; ancient and natural medical knowledge and the successful laws of nature taught so beautifully to anyone willing to listen and learn.

And here's the thing!

Very quickly I started to get well. My body came back into balance and healed naturally.

A medical report confirmed what I already knew. I was in a state of excellent health; asthma-free with normal blood sugars and normal thyroid.

I had lost over 60 pounds and have kept it off for almost 10 years now. Truly effortless results with no medication, no side effects, no dieting, no food obsessing, no counting calories or fat percentages, no portion controls and no scales.

Let me repeat that!

No drugs. No surgery. No diets.

My ah-ha moment.

I learnt that my body was NOT my enemy, my body was actually my best friend. I understood that:

  • The excess fat had been protecting my delicate tissues and organs from all the sugars and acids in my diet.

  • The adrenal exhaustion was my bodies urgent alarm to force me to stop, to be peaceful and to rest.

  • The asthma attacks were my bodies screams for water, due to chronic dehydration.

  • The chronic fatigue syndrome was a shout for less stress and more sleep, joy, creativity and quality nutrition.

When I provided my body with nutrition, it started to heal naturally.

After coaching hundreds of women on how to connect back to their vibrant trim selves, I have realised that inside each and every single one of us, we each have the power to transform our lives.

When we are ready to heal all we need to do is let go of what we "think" we know and become open to "not knowing" and instead trusting our bodies.

It truly is an opportunity to connect to our bodies inner knowing. It is possible to start cultivating trust in our bodies wisdom and ourselves and guide us effortlessly towards health and wellbeing.

Sometimes this may feel scary as it is unknown.

Doing this you are moving out of the known comfort zones (doing what you've always done, getting the results you always have) and into the unknown. The important thing to realise is that the only thing to fear is fear itself!

Another benefit I have gained is a deep understanding of what wealth is. Most people think that wealth is money. But real wealth has nothing to do with money. No amount of money can ever buy freedom, health, self-love, self confidence, inner peace and deep gratitude for everything that life is. Creating vibrant health gives you that and so much more!

Today I have discovered a beautiful freedom around food and life.

After embracing health and wellness, I feel more vibrant, alive and younger than ever before. Life unfolds magically around me, and everyday I have gratitude for everything that happens to me.

In the past I may have judged some things good and some things bad. But I have learnt never to judge anything. Life gives us gifts in unexpected forms. Being sick, fat and having no energy was my greatest challenge. But, now I understand that it was my greatest opportunity. Having lost over 60 pounds naturally, gained freedom from dis-ease, energy and vitality I feel more alive than ever before!

Today I spend my time teaching, inspiring and empowering women all over the world that it really is possible to heal the body naturally and kick the dieting habit for good. Vibrant health really is everyone's natural birthright.
